ARL lending library - terms and conditions

Office opening hours: Monday 9.15am – 2.30pm, Thursday 9.15am – 2.30pm. Our current opening hours for collecting and returning equipment are Thursdays 9.15am – 2.30pm from The Brisley Room at the Singleton Environment Centre.

Registration: Registration is open to anyone within the South East. We do hope to expand our geographical area in the future.

We reserve the right to cancel registration to anyone who mistreats the service. For example, returning equipment late, returning equipment damaged or incomplete. This is at the discretion of Accessible Resource Library.

Loaning Equipment: Items are loaned for a six week period. At the end of this period, items are to be returned or a renewal can be requested for a further six weeks.

If an item is already on loan, you can be added to a waiting list and will be notified when the item is ready.

When in your home/ workplace or school, the equipment is your responsibility. Please ensure the user of the toys and equipment is supervised at all times. Take care not to lose any parts that may go with the equipment.

If pieces are missing, they must be returned as soon as they are found. If any equipment is missing or damaged, we may ask that you donate towards the repair or replacement of the item. Any items that are missing or damaged must be reported to Accessible Resource Library asap.

All equipment that requires batteries, will be loaned with batteries. However, we cannot guarantee they are fully charged. It will be the responsibility of the named loan holder to provide their own batteries should the current ones run out. Please return the equipment with batteries.

Before the equipment is available to borrow, it has been checked that it is safe to use. However, if the items arrive damaged or broken, please do not use the item and inform Accessible Resource Library asap.

Each item of equipment has been cleaned and sterilised appropriately and we would ask that it is returned in the same condition.

Any packaging/boxes/storage containers the equipment is sent out in must be kept and returned in the same way.
