Who Are We?
Our Background
Accessible Resource Library CIC was formerly known as ‘Find A Voice’, a wonderful charity which formed in 1996 and facilitated the lending of specialist equipment for 26 years, before its unfortunate closure in December 2023.
The library of resources were kindly donated by the Trustees of Find A Voice, so they could remain as a fantastic asset to the local commnunity.
We aim to complement educational, health teams and family/friends by providing these needed equipment and resources.
Accessible Resource Library CIC is a not for profit company and is run by Emma Kolsteren, Adrian Luck and Carol Norton.

our Mission
Our MISSION at ARL is to enhance the lives of any individual with disabilities or communication issues. We aim to:
- Provide a loan library of accessible toys, communication devices and educational resources.
- To keep this service FREE so it can be accessed by everyone.
- To utilise the latest technology to enhance the accessibility and efficiency of the library.
- Collaborate closely with users of assistive technology and empower volunteers who give their time contributing to library cataloguing and technical support.
- To serve as a hub for collective knowledge and support across all services.
- To promote inclusivity for all individuals across Kent.
The individuals we support often have professional teams in place, in educational, medical or residential settings. ARL work with these teams to enhance their existing approach to support the individual in a wholistic, multi-disciplinary way.
